WI Lose First ODI Against Pakistan

Shai Hope struck his 12th ODI century to give the West Indies a challenging 305 for 8 in their first One Day International against Pakistan today.

Hope hit 15 fours and 1 six in his well played 127. He also was placed among the greats being the third fastest to four thousand ODI runs.

Pacer Harris Ra-off bagged 4 wickets for 77 runs.

Pakistan, in their reply, lost their first wicket with the score on 26. However, Imam-ul-Haq’s 65, together with captain Azam’s 103 spearheaded the recovery and pushed the home team within reach of the target. The Windies bowlers toiled in sweltering conditions as Akeal Hosein again lead from the front taking one wicket for 50 from his 10 overs.

In the end, the Windies missed out on victory as Pakistan won by 5 wickets with 4 balls to spare.
